Tight Lipped Biography

Tight Lipped is the heaviest rock-n-roll coming out of Asbury Park, New Jersey. Featuring 4 bad ass bitches: guitarist and singer Joy Vay, bassist Samantha Slick, Drummer Kat DaVille and lead guitarist Lauren Blue Fox; Tight Lipped delivers an fistful of 70’s inspired sleazy surf punk meets garage glam.. it packs a powerful punch to your sonic face... in a good way.

 

Starting as a power trio in 2017, the band quickly began to gain steam in the Asbury Music scene. In 2018 they embarked on a multi-state summer tour where the band opened for seminal surf and punk acts like Agent Orange, The Vibrators and legendary rocker Robert Gordon. That tour cemented their reputation for high energy live shows.

 

In 2019 Tight Lipped finally solidified the lineup when they welcomed Lauren Blue Fox (Speed Queen/Buzzard Wagon/Blue Fox) on lead guitar and vocals and drummer Kat DaVille (The Bloody Muffs, Black Light Medusa) to the fold.

 

They’ve played with rock and punk luminaries such as The Avengers, Cheetah Chrome, Anti-Seen, The Donnas, Cherie Currie and Sandy West of The Runaways, The Murder Junkies, The Bangles, The Adolescents, White Flag, Youth Brigade, Jim Jones Revue, Texas Terri Bomb, Supersuckers, Electric Frankenstein, Dez Cadena (Misfits, Black Flag) as well as the aforementioned Vibrators, Agent Orange and Robert Gordon.

 

The band will celebrate the release of their debut EP, “So Tight!” this February. A record release party and supporting shows are to follow.
